So make sure you head on over, get ready to kick your feet up and relax, and let’s transform some lives.

Today I am coming at y’all with them skin tips. Y’all ask me about what to really work into your regimens to help you keep your skin clean and clear and pretty darn even overall. You know I said before, you with no makeup on, so how it look close?

Let me show y’all how these skin videos go. Look at the camera while touching the nape of the neck as if something was there. Hand under the chin, and then back at the camera again. Now look away as if something caught your eye. Now look straight into the camera.

These have been things that have really worked well for me that I’ve worked into my regiment over the past several years. Hopefully you’ll find something here that you can easily work in that will help you start to improve your skincare regiment and get you the results that you want. For everything that I taught you about today can be found down below in the information section. Now let’s go ahead and get into this.

Now while these tips are amazing, I am NOT Jesus and this is not a miracle. But if you stick with it for at least a week, you should start to see some results. Make sure you thumbs up this video if you liked it. Comment, share, and subscribe to this channel and also my blog channel. Make sure that you come back on all Thursdays and some Sundays for video uploads. And also be sure to turn on that notification bell so you know when I upload first.

Exfoliation and cleansing basics

The key to a clear skin regimen is to get yourself a careful but effective exfoliation method. Over the past two years, you all have seen me use my Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa, which I love because it has three heads that help you with exfoliating from light all the way to heavier exfoliation.

I’ve always taught you guys that exfoliation is important because it’s key to getting rid of all that dirt on the outer layer of skin and helping your pores be clean and clear, and also preventing acne breakouts and oil buildup.

I also make sure that I pair it with a great cleanser like my Purity Made Simple. But overall, I just love the finish that it leaves on my face. Of course, I’ve left you guys a code down in the information section, ’cause your girl is always looking out for you as well. You can get this for 10% off with my code, and it’s already heavily discounted, making it about 35 bucks at checkout.

Keep your tools and applicators clean

Another thing is to make sure you not only have top-notch utensils, but that you’re keeping them clean. You all have seen some of my favorite makeup applicators before in videos, but I love this Bling Baby makeup sponge with the silicone applicator, which helps with streak-free application.

I also love my 15-piece makeup brush set, which is cruelty free. And the brushes are super, super easy to clean, and also very, very soft and not very absorbent.

What’s cool is that all of my favorite skin-related face items can be found together in the Unicorn Glam Box over on Vanity Planet. And of course, I got you all a discount link down below in the information section, so check it out if you’re interested in it.

They planned and also worked with me to give two of these away to you guys, so check the information section for all the contest rules and details.

How I wash blenders and brushes (and cut down on bacteria)

I keep it simple with my utensil cleansers. I love the Dawn antibacterial dish soap as well as the Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap.

So in the Dr. Bronner’s bars, I wash my blenders by making sure I run them up against the soap directly. This usually gets any staining out, and I can make sure that the bacteria is gone. I rinse the soap out completely with lukewarm water, and then I try to make sure I get as much of the dampness out as possible.

For my brushes, I take the Dawn dish soap and I take my practice mat, which helps me with washing all of my brushes. And I run it up against the mat directly to get all of the product out—any kind of makeup and any kind of build-up. And I rinse it out with lukewarm water, making sure that there’s no soap left in the brush.

To cut down on bacteria, I try to make sure that all excess water is gone from the brush, and I place these on a clean, dry towel to dry. Do this at least once a week.

We also spray just a little bit of pure clear isopropyl alcohol, whole firm I make, in order to cut down on bacteria on the actual makeup, once a week.

DIY peels and masks (my favorite)

You also want to learn how to make DIY peels and masks. I have several mask videos that I’ve done for you guys, but my favorite over the years has been the baking soda and lemon juice mask.

And all you need is a little bit of water, a little bit of baking soda, and a few drops of lemon juice. Combine those together to make a nice paste. And you take that paste and rub it over your face gently, because this can be abrasive, so you don’t want to hurt your skin.

It helps to exfoliate. It helps to cleanse. I allow it to stay on about five minutes, and then I rinse thoroughly. And because it can be a little bit drying, I make sure I moisturize.

It’s hard to find time to work in your mask, and I’ve been already in your shower doing this. This makes me save a lot of time and effort, and it also gives my skin all the benefits it needs without me having to make all the excuses about time.

Keep your hands clean and stop picking

Just keep them doggone hands clean. You should not be having dirty hands, and especially not dirty hands that touch your face.

I simply make it a practice to wash my hands with antibacterial soap and make sure that my hands are clean throughout the day, especially if I have the habit of touching my face, because I don’t want to deposit bacteria on my face. That’s what we’re talking about.

And I need for you to stop picking at your face. It’s really easy to get into the habit of picking at bumps and scars on your face, but that should not be happening.

I take a little bit of pure tea tree oil, and instead of picking at spots I notice, I put just a little dot of tea tree oil on it. You don’t need much, because it can burn your skin. Be very careful. This method I’ve been doing since high school.

Use paper towels instead of towels

Try using paper towels instead of towels, as they can house more bacteria. My beautiful mother put me on this method.

Instead of using towels that could house bacteria, I use paper towels, and I like the Bounty brand. I like this because I can just pat around my face, not drag dry, in order to keep from abrasing or harming my face. And it feels really nice, really good, and really clean.

Remove your makeup every night

The next thing is to remove your makeup every time and every night thoroughly.

Now if and months of that, some people think it’s enough just to wipe the face down with a cleansing towelette at night. But you need a lot more than that: with a full-out facial wash and rinse.

And then after that, I also tone and moisturize.

Keep hair off your skin and clean your pillowcase

Hairstyles that keep your hair off of your skin—this can help to remove excess chemicals or even oils and dirt off of your face.

Change and wash that pillowcase as much as needed. Washing once or twice a week might cut down on the amount of bacteria that touches your skin.

Your skin is almost like your hair in that it does not like to sleep directly on cotton. It strips it of its moisture. So you definitely want to invest in a real satin, heavy-duty pillowcase. It’s gonna help to reduce sleep wrinkles and also maintain your skin’s moisture.

Cleanse from the inside with a skin detox tea

Your skin doesn’t need just cleansing on the outside. It also needs to be cleansed from the inside.

So I love making a skin detox tea, and it’s really simple. And all I need is water, turmeric powder, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, raw honey, and lemon. I do have all the exact amounts in the information section.

But I combine it all with warm or hot water, and I drink this in the morning. It helps reduce toxins and the intestines, which could help with reducing acne too.

Steaming (1–2 times a month)

The next thing is the steamer. I love my little inexpensive Conair steamer that I bought from Amazon. I have a link down below for you guys, but I’ve had it for years.

And I use it about 1 to 2 times a month. And if I combine it with like my moisturizer, my skin feels bomb.

Foods that help your skin (and what to avoid)

What we eat actually highly affects our skin. So there’s a couple of tips I have for you guys about foods that you should have and foods you might want to stay away from.

We’re gonna stick with foods high in nutrients. So those things like your omega 3 fatty acids—your salmon, your flax seeds, almonds, whole grains. Vitamin B6 with avocados. Your kale, roots, any fruits of your choice are really gonna be good.

Not so good for the skin is gonna be caffeine, sugar, processed foods, and greasy food.

I often opt for smoothies instead. So cashew milk, kale, a little bit of avocado, some carrot, flax seed and chia seed, wheatgrass, and then a little bit of ice and maybe some protein powder. And I’m good to go.

Moisturizing, eye cream, vitamins, and water

You need to make sure that you’re hydrating your skin. It helps to cut down on those wrinkles, and it also helps to cut down on breakdown.

I moisturize twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, just to make sure that my skin feels its best. Hydration. I rub upward to avoid wrinkles.

You want to make sure that you’re taking care of those eyes with a great eye cream in the morning and also at night before you go to bed.

Engage in taking a great vitamin or a probiotic daily. This will keep your body healthier overall.

I’m sure y’all tired of hearing this one, but you need to get yourself some water. Stop being dry and thirsty out here.

Conclusion

I truly hope that you guys have enjoyed today’s video. I’ve found something that will work for you, and that you can easily work into your regimen to improve it.
